
Let me explain:Įach of our lives is a story. This makes all the difference in our lives. The Spirit of the Lord is present here today to bring hope, comfort and healing to the brokenhearted.

This was the ministry of the Holy Spirit through Jesus life when he walked the earth. It is still the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers today. He ministered to the broken, bruised, and the bound.Įach of us gathered here today can have the assurance that this is still the heart of Jesus toward you. At the core of what he read and said is this: "My mission, why I am here, is to help people who are struggling and hurting." This is what we see him doing as he lived out the next three years of his ministry. When Jesus began his public ministry, he chose Isaiah 61 as the text for his first message which was delivered to his home town folks. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing.” And the eyes of all who were in the synagogue were fixed on Him. To set at liberty those who are oppressed ġ9 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Ģ0 Then He closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant and sat down. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, And when He had opened the book, He found the place where it was written:

17 And He was handed the book of the prophet Isaiah. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

Luke 4: 16 So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up.
